Travel throughout the Gulf is long, tedious, dangerous and costly. The salaries for two, three of four people over a few hours, let alone the lost work time, is a serious challenge for every organisation. Even a long trip to a major city as Brisbane requires many hours on the road to reach Cairns airport, then the check-in, boarding and flight drill.
Gulf Xpress is fledgling, and is a Division of Gulf Gold. It is working towards gaining an AOC, in order to initially operate a light aircraft for Gulf travel to access a myriad of cattle stations or small and large towns. Moving people to remote regions, safely and quickly.
Yet the vision of growing this division with other mission-suited aircraft is primary, such as a single engine turbine aircraft, for those long distance trips, that requires speed, comfort and the ability to fly high above weather.
We shall announce the progress of this Division throughout 2016.
